National Chicken Wing Day is celebrated July 29th and this month’s Dinner’s Ready recipe is going to be the perfect way to celebrate! Greater Pensacola Parents fan Chardonnay Pant is sharing her delicious Baked Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings.
“I chose to share this recipe because it was the recipe that made my husband fall in love with me…or at least I like to think so,” said Chardonnay. “This was the first thing I cooked for him when we started dating and I’m still making these wings to this day.”
Chardonnay shares that she came across the recipe in a magazine when she was trying to plan what she was going to cook for her and her husband Jasen’s first date. She assumed it would just be a one-and-done recipe, never to be made again. However, she is still making these wings and now their daughter is also obsessed with them!
Chardonnay and Jasen married in November 2019 and together have a three-year-old daughter named Ezra. The family loves to travel together and while Ezra isn’t in any official extracurricular activities yet, she keeps everyone busy with her love of swimming, playgrounds, and bubbles.
“We love traveling back to St. Croix. We try to make that trip once a year so my husband can go home and see his parents,” Chardonnay said. “We also just love going on road trips to different cities or states that we’ve never been to. Anytime we go on a trip, 95% of the time we’re driving there. Road trips help strengthen our family bond.”
While both Chardonnay and her husband work full time, they do make dinner at home, around the kitchen table, a priority.
“I love to cook and try new recipes so we rarely eat out. I’m always on the hunt for good recipes to try to mix up our weekly meals,” Chardonnay explained, while admitting she loves to watch the Food Network for inspiration.
“Dinnertime around our house can be a little hectic at times. While I’m cooking dinner I’m usually trying to entertain my daughter at the same time,” she said. “Lately, I’ve found that trying to include Ezra in cooking dinner has helped her feel involved. She loves helping in the kitchen, whether that’s stirring something, adding seasonings, and of course, courtesy tasting.”
Chardonnay bakes these wings up often and usually serves them with a side of mashed potatoes and a seasonal vegetable. She hopes that this recipe might bring your family as much love as it has done for her own. Bon appetite!
